Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. is an award-winning, full-service marina established in 1961. We are located on the south shore of West Arm of Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park, Minnesota. Our marina offers everything for every type of boater. Our services include Dockage, Dry Stack (In/Out Service), Boat Club, Pontoon Rentals, Winter Storage, Boat Repairs & Service, Boats for Sale, Ship's Store and Gas Dock.
Job Description
We are seeking reliable and skilled Forklift Drivers for our dry dock service on Lake Minnetonka. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport and launch boats, as well as moving and storing boat trailers and other equipment within the marina. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, a strong attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Must have availability on weekdays and weekends in May through September. Knowledge of boat handling and marina operations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating forklifts and trucks (with trailers)
- Driving and docking a variety of boats and vessels
- Yard maintenance (i.e. blocking boats, moving trailers)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Practical experience with tools and equipment
- Detail-orientated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Some computer skills are required
- Forklift experience is a bonus

Fleet of Forklifts
At the end of December 2021, we purchased a brand-new custom-built forklift. Watch the video to see how it was delivered and unloaded on that cold and snowy winter day. Our mechanics worked together to back the forklift off the flatbed and get it parked next to the two other forklifts in the warehouse. We made sure to give it a nice clean since it was covered in slush and dirt from its journey all the way from California. You could be the one driving this forklift!
