Part-Time Positions
There are a variety of part-time positions available for the 2025 summer. Whether you want to work outside or inside, want to drive boats or not, we have the perfect position for you. Learn more about each position below to find out what fits you best!
Ship’s Store Attendant: Working in the heart of our marina, our Ship Store, it's the central location for all our questions and information requests. You'll share your knowledge of Lake Minnetonka with guests by answering phones and helping with sales while quickly proving your customer service skills which are key to our marina. You'll also learn to file and perform data entry, which will leave you with enhanced general computer skills along with the ability to answer just about any question. Accurate typing skills are needed. General cleaning and maintenance duties apply.
Club & Rent Host: If you like customer service, you’ll love working with Boat Club members and Rental customers. Our goal is to help our members and customers find new and innovative ways to enjoy Lake Minnetonka. You’ll share your knowledge while reviewing inventory, safety information, and explaining boat operations procedures before and after the cruise. Our boats are a representation of our marina on all parts of Lake Minnetonka making the maintenance and cleaning of these integral for our upholding our reputation. General cleaning/maintenance duties and strength requirements apply.
Boat Runner: The In/Out Service is our dry stack storage, an alternative to wet slip dockage. We keep boats in our warehouse and launch by forklift when our customers want to use them. Your job as a Boat Runner is to start and drive the boat from the launching dock to the holding dock and properly tie the boat to the dock. You must have excellent driving skills for boats up to 25' with preferred inboard experience. General cleaning/maintenance duties and strength requirements apply.
Fuel Dock Attendant (16+): Our gas dock is a full-service operation and is often the first point of contact for our customers on the water. Our attendants are responsible for maintaining a clean working environment and enforcing our #1 safety rule - no smoking. This position will entail catching and tying up boats, assisting customers with the self-service Fuel Master gas pump, pumping toilets, cleaning, and other maintenance duties. Working on the gas dock requires you must be at least 16 years of age with good basic math skills.
The wage rate is based on time available to start, skills, and experience.
Working Conditions
- Must have availability May - September (bonus for working into the Fall)
- Must have availability on holiday weekends: Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekend
- The hours available can vary as the positions are very weather-dependent. Employees may be called off due to inclement weather.
